WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF BOXING?

Boxing is one of the most demanding but also most rewarding forms of activity. It conditions your entire body using all major muscle groups and also provides extensive psychological benefits. Boxing increasing self-discipline & self confidence and improves agility, speed, co-ordination, endurance and strength.

HOW DO I SIGN UP TO A-TEAM?

There are multiple ways to sign up. You can come in to our office which is located at 37 Gerves Drive Werribee. To ensure we are available you can contact Louise on 0419877827 or Kim on 0427317037. You can also choose to click on the link below and sign up electronically.

WHAT IS THE MINIMUM MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENT?

We offer one off casual classes which you can pay as you go. Our minimum membership length is 6 months as we believe to get the full benefit of our training programs especially boxing training, you would require a minimum of this time.

IS THERE AN AGE REQUIREMENT?

Youth Boxing starts at 9 years old and all members under 16 require an adult’s permission to train with us. Children under 16 may also be advanced to the adult boxing class if they are at the suitable skill level. Our Masters boxing program is from age 34 yrs to 70+.

WHERE CAN I BUY A-TEAM APPAREL?

You can purchase exclusive co-branded Adidas A-Team apparel from our shop located in the foyer of the A-Team Gym. Look out for our online shop coming soon.

  1. Membership TERMS & CONDITIONS

Acknowledgment of obligations

  • Pre-paid memberships are not refundable or transferable
  • You cannot suspend or stop a pre-paid membership
  • If there are extenuating circumstances i.e. illness, please discuss this with us and we may come to an agreement. This is up to the discretion of A-Team BYD (K & L Heta)
  • An administration fee of $25 is payable up front for each Ezidebit direct debit membership
  • EARLY EXIT FEE – A cancellation fee of $200 applies for any direct debit membership that is ended prior to the contract end date.
  • Membership duration based on payments of;
    • 6 months = 26 weekly payments
  • END OF CONTRACT – All memberships will continue billing on a week to week basis but will become uncontracted meaning a member can cancel their membership anytime without penalty. Membership will cease one week following this request.
  • For cancellation of membership please see put in writing via email to ensure proper cancellation
  • Direct debit memberships can be placed on hold for a maximum of 2 weeks for every 6 month periods unless otherwise agreed upon by A Team BYD (K & L Heta)
  • It is up to A-Team BYD (K&L Heta) discretion regarding being open on Public Holidays
  • Please be aware there will be a modified timetable over Christmas and New Year period. All payments and contracts will continue over this time.
  • All classes must be cancelled online no less than 60 minutes prior to class. After this class will be void.
  • All Personal Coaching & Dietitian Cancellations require 24 hours’ notice or a cancellation fee will be charged

  • Membership duration based on payments of;
    • 6 months = 26 weekly for 6 monthly payments
  • At the end of the contract period all memberships will continue billing on a week to week basis but will become uncontracted meaning a member can cancel their membership anytime without penalty. Membership will cease one week following this request.
  • For cancellation of membership please put in writing via email: info@weareateam.com.au to ensure proper cancellation of any membership

 

WHAT HAPPENS IF I FORGET OR LOSE SOMETHING AT A-TEAM?

We have spare equipment available if required, however due to hygeine we recommend you purchase your own, however we can supply it if you have forgotten to bring it. If you lose something we have a lost property bin at reception and we try our best to find the owner of all lost items.

CAN I PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS WHILE PREGNANT?

Unfortunately due to the nature of boxing and insurance reasons we can not accomodate for pregnant women. If you are pregnant please let our staff know as soon as possible.

BEFORE CLASS WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Comfortable clothes suitable for exercise. For yoga it may be more suitable to wear closer fitting garments due to the nature of the exercises with the bending and inverted postures.

BEFORE CLASS WHAT SHOES SHOULD I WEAR?

You can wear running shoes, however specific boxing shoes are available from the shop. For yoga you will not need any shoes.

BEFORE CLASS DO I NEED TO BRING MY OWN EQUIPMENT?

For boxing we recommend purchasing your own boxing gloves as they mould to the shape of your hand and therefore are much more comfortable when they are your own. We do have spare gloves which can be used but please be aware that these are also shared by other members. We do not provide wraps, however they can be purchased from the shop.For fight training you will need a mouth guard (please speak to your Coach or reception regarding this) and eventally a head guard (we do have some spares to begin with).

For yoga we provide yoga mats and props, however please feel free to bring your own if you prefer to do so.

BEFORE CLASS WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE?

You should aim to arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled class time. Please ensure that you sign in at the front reception desk or online before every class.

BEFORE CLASS WHAT IF I’M RUNNING LATE?

If the class has already started then you can not join the class unless approved by the instructor.

DURING CLASS WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO CLASS?

Please bring a drink and sweat towel to every class as well as any equipment that you may require for that specific class if you do not want to use the spares provided.

DURING CLASS WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT DURING CLASS?

We are here to make your training experience enjoyable. All classes are designed to benefit you as a member, however are varied depending on the instructor or goals of the group. Please speak wth your Coach if you have any specific requests or concerns regarding the class formats.

AFTER CLASS DO I HAVE TO LEAVE STRAIGHT AWAY?

Please feel free to stay back and get to know other A-Team members and our Coaches. If you require a more in-depth or confidential conversation please let your coach know and they will organise a suitable time to chat with you.

AFTER CLASS DOES A-TEAM HAVE SHOWERS?

Yes, A-Team has a shower located opposite the ambulant toilet just past the foyer.

AFTER CLASS IS THERE FOOD AT THE GYM?

We do not provide food or beverages at the gym. There is a water fountain located next to the sink in the gym area that can be used to fill up drink bottles.
